Who said eating healthy was boring?
I’ve always enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes. I guess I got this inspiration from my mom. She was an excellent cook, and our house was always packed with people who loved her cooking.
The table is where we gather, not just to eat, but to talk, share and connect. I make it a must that my family have at least a meal together during the day. Usually that is over dinner, where we get to talk about our day, share stories, plan for the coming day, and bond as a family.
I also make it a priority that we cook and eat as much as possible at home. We are all usually involved in the meal preparation and have a lot of fun together in the kitchen. Not only does it save a lot of money, but it is also much healthier than eating in restaurants. When cooking from scratch, you know exactly what is going into your plate, and you get to make choices that are healthy, help prevent weight gain, digestive troubles, and allergic reactions.
Over the past years, as I transitioned to a raw vegan – gluten-free diet, I’ve learned how to make delicious, colorful and healthy recipes. I now have the pleasure of sharing some of them with you!
